Pink! That is the inspiration behind this garden tea time set-up. And not just pink, blush pink. With a simple few elements, you can enjoy tea time with a friend any afternoon. And the best part is that some of these things we found for dirt cheap on Facebook Market πŸ™‚ The bench was $40 and this gorgeous antique tea set was only $10.

How to Upcycle an Old Bench

We love benches because they are so versatile. You can put them in an entrance, you can put them in a living room, dining room, or you can put them in your yard. Here’s how we used it in place of 2 patio chairs. All you have to do is adorn with the right throw pillows or blankets.

All you need to bring an old piece of furniture back to life is a really good spray paint. We love this Rustoleum Painter’s touch because it’s paint and primer in one.

We pulled over the coffee table from our patio to complete this afternoon tea look.

Pink Throw Pillows

The bench really comes to life when you adorn it with beautiful throw pillows. The trick to throw pillows is to mix and match patterns. The big beige ones we got from Marshall’s. We topped it with this gorgeous β€œThis is Us” rectangular pillow. We even threw another flower pillow with similar colors.

Beautiful throw pillows for a delicate touch.

Vintage Tea Set

Some things just never go out of style, and this classic rose tea set is definitely one of them. All you need to complete the set are some beautiful roses and a delicate white tray. We did take it one step further and made these beautiful spoons adorned with roses.

DIY Rose Tea Spoon

For that final delicate touch, try these easy to make rose spoons. The trick to this is that hot glue won’t adhere to metal so you have to attach it to something else, like ribbon. Nothing says vintage like lace so we added a burlap lace ribbon around the spoon and then glued these roses onto the burlap. You can get this ribbon at Michaels or even Dollar Tree.
