2020 was one for the books. And obviously not in a good way. The best way to send off 2020 is with a hilarious New Year’s Eve send-off. Here’s our “Rest in Peace 2020” tablescape for a NYE dinner party.

New Year’s Eve Invitation
This entire NYE set-up revolves around these fun printables made by our friend Angie at All Things Pretty. She is our exclusive printable partner! We are constantly using her gorgeous creations for all of our events. You can download all the printables used in this tablescape HERE.
This black and white marble design is the perfect fit for a NYE party. You can order this custom invitation with her here.
Elegant NYE Centerpiece
Since it’s technically a funeral, we decided to go with an all-black theme. The focus point of this gorgeous tablescape is these 3 large glass cylinders. This beautiful centerpiece glows from within.
First, we used a black table cloth to create a full table runner at the center of the table. Then we placed 3 clear glass cylinders next to each other. Fill up the cylinder with green holiday lights and black shredded paper. The shredded paper will help pull the lights all the way up the glass.
Add lights all around the bottom of 4 cylinders along with the shredded paper. Adorn the bottom with classic NYE party supplies.
Complete the look by placing party hats at the top of the cylinders.

All Black Place Setting
Since we were saying 2020 to rest in peace, we wanted everything to be black:) We used black plates, napkins, and black wine glasses that you can find at Dollar Tree!
Spark Tip:
Don’t have the right color charger, use a colored napkin to cover whatever charger you have!
At the center of the plates we added these funny RIP 2020 printables.
We Survived 2020 Mini-Bar
We can’t celebrate without some nice drinks so we used the credenza in the dining room to set up a mini bar. Similar to the dining table, start with a black tablecloth. Add a serving tray for the glasses and an ice bucket for champagne.
I had no idea there was such a thing as black vodka until we put together this tablescape!
Spread various new years party hats and supplies throughout the table. Finish off the mini-bar by adding a “We Survived 2020” banner made from black cardstock and white letters.
New Year Balloon Display
Finally, we put together a very simple balloon display on our big mirror that spells out 2021. You can do this on any big wall. Simply tape the balloons with packing tape.
Goodbye 2020, don’t let the door hit you in the butt!
