The Encanto movie has taken off and none of us can stop talking about Bruno! So naturally, the Encanto party ideas have begun. Here’s a gorgeous birthday party we help put together for seven year old Calista.
The wonderful thing about the Encanto team is that it’s very colorful so really you can mix and match all you want. Here we mixed all colors with gold to match the magical butterfly, a key detail in the movie. Let’s take a look at the details.
What You Need For Encanto Party Theme
- Lots of flowers! – You can get inexpensive flowers at the Dollar Tree.
- Butterflies – If you’ve seen the move, you know that a butterfly had a special part in it.
- Balloons – Because balloon garlands are all the rage!

How to Put Together an Encanto Party Tablescape
For this dessert table, we started with glittery purple tablecloth and then covered that with a pink tulle table skirt. The table was full of fun stuff! We filled it up with desserts, candy, flowers, pedals, and signs.
At the front of the table we hung a really gold letter C (for Calista). We adorned this monogram with lots of colorful flowers and gold butterflies. You can find these large letters at Michaels. Then hot glue on Dollar Tree flowers. Next to the monogram we hung pretty pictures of the characters from these swirl decorations and attached them to purple cardstock.

Encanto Themed Desserts
We ordered the cake from a local bakery and then had our friend Angie of All Things Pretty Etsy Shop make us this amazing cake topper. You can download these FREE ENCANTO PRINTABLES HERE.
You can easily make a lot of delicious treats for the kids. Grab your favorite snacks and simply cover them in melted chocolate. And then let them set. We made pretzels and marshmallows.
We also ordered Encanto character Rice Krispies treats from a local bakery.

Large Casita Backdrop
The focal point of the party was this gorgeous Encanto backdrop. We held it up with a backdrop stand. Then we added colorful rainbow paper garland to the top to make the “casita” come to life.

Colorful Balloon Garland
Balloon garlands are so the rage these days and it’s very easy for anyone to make them! Amazon sells these very easy kits that come with everything you need. All you have to do is pick the color scheme you like. Here’s the balloon garland kit we used for this magical party.
On top of the colored balloons we added a special touch – hand painted flower balloons. These are clear balloons that Danny painted flowers onto. For the final touch, we added gold butterflies onto the balloons.

Encanto Printables
These pretty signs are so easy to make. You can get the printable from our friend’s Angie Etsy shop. Then insert the 8×10 into an acrylic from your local dollar store. FREE ENCANTO PRINTABLES HERE.
DIY Encanto Goodie Bags
It’s so easy to put together these favor bags. All you need are colorful gift bags from Dollar Tree. Print out these cute encanto signs and hot glue them onto the bag. Finish it off with colorful tissue paper.
Hand Painted Casita Photo Prop
As a fun activity, Danny hand painted this photo prop. It’s simply a poster board from the dollar store designed as a window. Guests took a lot of fun pictures as if they were in the movies!
