With the upcoming movie, Barbie is back! This theme will surely be popular for many parties to come. We recently created this amazing charcuterie board for a five-year-oldβs birthday. Hereβs how you can easily put it together.
List of Materials & Ingredients:
- Large serving tray
- Small watermelon
- Barbie doll
- Cheese
- Grapes
- Crackers
- Veggies
- Salami
- Cucumber
- Goldfish
- Dried apricots
Pin for later!
Step 1 – Cut the bottom of the watermelon so it stands straight.
You will need to measure the Barbie doll to know how much watermelon to cut off. Estimate this by standing the Barbie next to the watermelon. Save the piece that you slice off to layer onto the βdressβ later!
Step 2 – Scoop out the watermelon.
Turn the watermelon around and start removing the fruit so you have a hollow ball. This is similar to cleaning out a pumpkin for jack-o-lanterns but even easier because the fruit is soft.
Step 3 – Make a hole on the other side of the watermelon.
Now that you have removed all the fruit, turn the watermelon around. You will cut a small hole approximately 2 inches wide to fit the Barbie through the hole. Make it smaller than you think so you donβt make the hole too big. If itβs too large, the Barbie wonβt stand straight. You can always make it bigger once you try to fit the Barbie through the whole.
Step 4 – Create a dress layer with the original piece you cut off in Step 1.
To add another layer to the dress, take the slice you originally cut off and create a star-like shape. You will also have to make a 2-inch hole so Barbieβs waist goes through. Stand up the doll through both holes.
Step 5 – Build the board.
Now that you have Barbie standing up, itβs time to build the charcuterie board. We added lots of fruits, veggies, and crackers in a circular manner since the tray was round.
There you have it! This Barbie charcuterie board will undoubtedly light up the faces of the guests.
